Embedded files, returned to you.

Colleagues on Windows embed PDFs and other files inside spreadsheets, documents and presentations without realizing the Mac versions of Excel, Word and PowerPoint can't open them. Drop the file on RapidExtract and it lists every embedded and linked object in document order. Pick the files you want and save them to a folder or as a single ZIP.

It also tells you what deserves caution. Files that can run code, such as programs and scripts, are flagged, and for macro-enabled formats RapidExtract reports whether macros were actually found.

Clear out the conditional formatting rules that stopped doing anything.

Copy, paste and insert enough rows in a workbook and its conditional formatting quietly multiplies into hundreds of duplicate and orphaned rules. CFRuleCleaner can select the dead ones for deletion in one step. You always decide what goes: add any rule to the selection or remove any rule from it before anything is deleted.

When it isn't sure a rule is dead, it leaves that rule unselected.
